Story of the Bowl Challenge
How Does the Bowl Challenge Work

There is a $10 suggested donation for each entry into the Bowl Game Challenge. Entries are submitted online. Participants will receive one point for each correctly predicted winner in the Bowl Games. Points will be continuously tabulated through out the challenge and a leader board will be posted to this website.

How Did the Bowl Challenge Get Started
The Bowl Challenge got its start one Christmas season in the early 2000's when Kenny got the idea to host a friendly competition to see who could predict the winners of the bowl games and raise a little money to support St. Mary's Episcopal Outreach. He typed up a list of the bowl games and circulated it around to friends at church and family during the holidays. The idea was such a hit that he did it again the next year and the rest is history. He later switched the beneficiary of the Bowl Challenge to Redeemer's Food Pantry when he began regularly volunteering there. The Bowl Challenge has continuously grown over the years and raises hundreds of dollars each year.

Where do the proceeds go?
The donations collected from the annual Bowl Challenge are split 50/50: half the proceeds go to the winner and the other half goes to directly to support the food pantry at Redeemer Episcopal Church. This is an incredible food ministry on the Southside of Jacksonville and helps feed up to 300 families each week. Redeemer Episcopal Church was Kenny's church home and the food pantry was especially near and dear to his heart. He dedicated countless hours in service to the food pantry.
The Tradition Continues
Kenny Williams went home to Jesus in July of 2021 after a long battle with cancer. His daughter Leeann and her husband Brian along with Kenny's brother Steve have made it a point to continue this fun and worthy cause in his honor. We appreciate your support!
